The Katana Nagakiba is one of the strongest swords in the early game in Elden Ring, and the good news is that you can get it very early on, so here’s how to get it as quickly as possible.
How to get Katana Nagakiba in Elden Ring
The Katana is part of Yura’s questline, but you can get it quickly at the beginning of the game if you kill him on the first encounter. Players can obtain Nagakiba once they leave the cave in Limgrave. All you need to do is walk north to the river that connects to Lake Agheel. You’ll find a dungeon called Murkwater Cave; outside this cave, Bloody Finger Nerijus will invade players.
Kill Nerijus and proceed north to the river, and Yura will be present in a covered, shadowy area, just waiting. You can talk to him, but if you’re interested in getting Nagakiba right away, kill him there.
It can be a tough fight if you’re low level, but he can be easily stunned. Upon killing him, Yura will drop the Nagakiba katana.
Getting Katana Nagakiba in Elden Ring without doing anything
You can get Katana by finishing Yura’s quests too, but if you miss his quests, you can get it just the same. For those who missed Yura’s questline or weren’t able to finish it until the Altus Plateau meeting, Nagakiba will still be available at the last location players talked to Yura or at his supposed last location.
Therefore, the Katana will likely be near the cave where the invasion takes place or within the Siofra River.
