To raise a character’s friendship level, you will need companionship EXP. And there are lots of ways to gain that kind of experience in Genshin Impact. But getting companionship EXP will get a lot easier after you reach level 12, as doing so will unlock daily quests called Commission Quests.
Tasks like Commission Quests, finishing dungeons, and going through random events that happen across the game world will earn you and your teammates buddy EXP. The higher a character’s friendship level, the more details about their backstory will be revealed.
Of course, if you want, you can replay dungeons and other events that earn companionship EXP to “farm” this type of experience.
