After completing the second part of the test, you’ll talk to Arataki Itto, who has finally found the three children. You and Heizou will decide to embark on the third round of the Test after the conversation you had with the three Youkai. The group starts looking for the Priestess, but she is nowhere to be seen. Then, Paimon will notice something written on a sign, which says, “Round 3… Item… Hagoita”. As the circumstances are too strange, everyone decides to wait to continue the next day.
In previous rounds of Trials of Courage, you got to choose your own partner. However, Heizou will offer himself as company in the third round to help solve this mystery. The Detective can search three locations: the area where you found the ghost, the area Itto’s underlings mentioned, and the beach.
Ghost
When you reach the marked area, you and Paimon will start remembering how you found the “ghost”. Heizou will then come up with two theories: that the mysterious woman is dangerous, as she is trying to put a curse on the group, or that she is trying to scare everyone for some unknown reason.
Then the three Youkai will appear and offer to help look for clues. After a while, the Detective concludes that the mysterious woman used all the evidence to create a frightening atmosphere.
Itto’s underlings
After investigating the first area, everyone agrees to search the location Itto’s gang members mentioned. Upon closer examination, you discover that the woman is not a ghost and that she was using various materials to scare people.
However, Heizou comments that mysterious powers trapped his client on the beach. The Detective then takes mere seconds to discover the woman’s identity. Afterward, you head towards the beach as the three Youkai leave.
The beach
After reaching the beach, Heizou will start looking for anything suspicious. Then, the mystery woman appears and tries to scare you both. Unaffected, Heizou confronts the ghost, which is a Youkai, and exposes her secret.
Finally, the Detective will hand over the Hagoitawhich is nothing more than the Youkai’s true form (and also the requested item in this round of the Test of Courage of Akitsu Kimodameshi event in Genshin Impact). Her name is Hanyuuda Chizuru, and she scares people away from bonding with them, as she suffered a lot from the end of her friendship with Kamai Kenji and Yanagibashi Takuto. At this time, Yae Miko also appears and clears up the situation.
Ultimately, Itto will team up with all the other characters to create the perfect Mikawa Flower Festival for everyone to enjoy.
